Curl Open Source is a special interest community for developers interested in developing and publishing Curl programs in an open source environment.
The mission of the Curl Open Source initiative is to broaden the Curl platform and empower the Curl developer community by establishing a common repository of open source component libraries. As part of its first step to support open source technology initiatives, Curl has established three open source projects at SourceForge, which are featured here.
We encourage community members interested in open source to visit and participate in these projects, and to create their own.
The following is a list of active Curl Open Source projects:
- Web Services Development Kit (WSDK): The WSDK library provides components necessary for building Curl applications that make use of web services. These include both SOAP/WSDL support, and an XML document model. The link to SourceForge for this project is http://sourceforge.net/projects/curl-wsdk.
- Curl Data Kit (CDK): The CDK library facilitates datacentric application development in Curl. It includes support for client side SQLite databases. The link to SourceForge for this project is http://sourceforge.net/projects/curl-cdk.
- Curl Development Utilities (CDU): The CDU library provides functions supporting application development, including unit testing. We aim to establish a foundation for good practices, by consolidating techniques used in existing projects. The link to SourceForge for this project is http://sourceforge.net/projects/curl-dev-utils.
