When I entered this reply, the editor window took about 5 seconds to come up. This is longer than I would like, for sure, but it sounds a lot less bothersome than what you've experienced. One thing that I've done, which you might want to try, is that I have stopped using the Rich Text editor as my default editor. If you switch over to the Plain Text editor and then click the link toward the top right that says "Always use this editor," our server will remember your choice and every time after that, when you start to post or reply to a message, you will start out in the Plain Text editor. You might want to try that and see whether the performance that you experience gets any better.
