how to install and use Curl Development tools for Eclipse (CDE) ?

HI,

I want to use CDE.I have downloaded the CDE from curl site.

Can any body tell me step by step configuration of this CDE with eclipse?

using Curl CDE Beta Installation Notes , i could install the and configure the eclipse with CDE. but now i am facing another problem.

When i am starting to project wizard i m getting error:Connection to Curl Runtime failed.

Details : Connction Refused.

please let me know how to solve this.

Hi,

I faced the same problem.

I have deinstalled my previouse Curl IDE Version 6 and 7. And then reinstalled the CDE.

I also started the Curl RTE (e.g. open the Control panel) before starting Eclipse - maybe that is not necessary.

That worked for me.

I don't think you should need to uninstall the previous 6.0 version of the IDE before installing the new one. The key is that you have to uninstall the 7.0 beta IDE and RTE to use the 6.0 CDE.

You should only uninstall *the RTE *of the previous version and install the new one.

The Curl perspective in Eclipse will start the RTE, there is no need to start the RTE manually. There are still a few errors possible when shutting down Eclipse and the RTE where communication between the two is not cleanly shut down, but we have fixed some of the bugs since the beta release.
